It’s a bit of a Top Gear day today with not just this morning’s news that Top Gear drafted in Tiff Needell to play at being the Stig, but the first in the new series of Top Gear kicks off tonight on BBC2 at 8.00 pm (9.00pm in Europe). And actually, this morning’s Tiff Needell story ties in with tonight’s Top Gear as it’s got Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle as the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car. But that’s not the main piece tonight; that honour goes to the boy’s trip up the East Coast USA.
The new Alfa Romeo Milano - snapped on a mobile 'phone and posted on Facebook
And that’s the case with this picture of the new Alfa Romeo Milano, which has surfaced on the Interweb (on Facebook – I wonder if it was taken by the wife of the head of MI6?!) and lets you see just what the new Alfa Romeo Milano will look like. Obviously taken on a ‘phone, the quality isn’t great, but there’s more than enough detail to see what the car will offer. Taking design cues from the Alfa Romeo 8C (which did the Goodwood Hillclimb at the weekend), the Milano is more than a little reminiscent of the cracking Alfa super mini – the Alfa Romeo MiTo.

Lotus has unveiled a new limited-edition Exige S with the moniker LF1, paying tribute to its 81 Grand Prix victories. Dressed in the official colours of the Lotus F1 team, the black-gold Exige S with red accents will be limited to 81 units. Each one is individually numbered with a carbonfibre build plate.
